I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!  Marlith (Talk)  23:46, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

my questions[edit]

{{help me|How do u transcude a page without a prefix (ie one in the main namespace)}}

I don't know why you would need to do this, however you can precede the title with a colon: {{:foo}}, for example, would transclude the article foo. However, please be aware that this could cause problems and really shouldn't be used... ever. Hersfold (t/a/c) 02:32, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks I was wondering how to do this because I saw a disambiguation page with a link that led to another disabiguation page and I was thinking that it would probably be a better idea to transclude the one disambiguation page into the other as that would ensure the that it would stay in sync, unlike simply coppying the contents from one to another

Any particular reason the image was changed for a lower quality one?[edit]

[change] seems to swap the image for a lower quality, blurry one. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.174.157.135 (talk) 21:06, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I swapped the png for the svg remake made by myself. since the new one is vector, and the old one is raster, it cannot really be defined as "lower quality", if you don't like it, modify the vector one.

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Tramp (song), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.lyricsfreak.com/o/otis+redding/tramp_20326287.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Fair use rationale for File:Zelda Logo.svg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Zelda Logo.svg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 21:39, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Compact Cassette Logo.svg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Compact Cassette Logo.svg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. File source problem with File:Compact Cassette Logo.svg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Compact Cassette Logo.svg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nomination of List of Ranger's Apprentice characters for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article List of Ranger's Apprentice characters is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Ranger's Apprentice characters until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Mz7 (talk) 02:13, 18 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Aconagua Bi-Oceanic railway has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

At first, I thought this might be a case of WP:TOOSOON, but this has been proposed since 2012, with no movement forward. Last article was back in 2014. Not enough in-depth coverage to pass WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hello, Sonarpulse,

Please do not create a talk page where there is no article. It will just be deleted. If you are interested in getting feedback about creating an article, try visiting a WikiProject or come to the Teahouse and ask for assistance. Liz Read! Talk! 05:08, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
